Our mission is to build a more equitable, sustainable, and healthy community through cycling.
Equity

Increase access to bicycle use and maintenance for people of all income levels and cultures
Sustainability

Reduce energy consumption and waste
Health

Improve physical and mental wellbeing through cycling exercise for transportation and recreation
How do we turn our vision into reality?
- Equity:
- Reducing economic barriers to bicycle ownership by offering free and lower-cost bicycles, repairs, and maintenance classes
- Training diverse local volunteers in bicycle mechanics through the process of refurbishing donated bicycles in a welcoming space
- Providing free bicycles, helmets and locks to disadvantaged adults and children, including immigrants, those experiencing housing instability, and those needing transportation for employment
- Sustainability:
- Refurbishing bicycles for reuse
- Collecting and repurposing or selling used bicycle parts
- Recycling metal and rubber from unusable components
- Promoting an alternative to motor vehicle travel by offering free and lower-cost bicycles and teaching local residents how to ride and maintain them
- Health:
- Increasing the independence of low-income adults through bicycle ownership
- Providing a means of active play for children of families across all income levels
- Encouraging exercise by cycling to commute, shop, and accomplish other daily tasks by offering affordable bike sales, service, and instruction
